Hilton Hotels Corp. changed its name to Hilton Worldwide in October. In addition to the name change, Hilton moved its headquarters to McLean, Va., a Washington suburb.
“We’re really putting a stake in the ground to say this is the beginning of the next era,” says Christopher J. Nassetta, Hilton president and CEO. “We have a strong past and even brighter future… and we are very focused on international growth.”
The move from Beverly Hills, Calif., to Fairfax County, Va., marks the emergence of the Washington, D.C., area as a hotel corporate hub, with the nearby headquarters for both Marriott International and Choice Hotels International.
“We are delighted to join the vibrant Fairfax County business community and are confident that our new location will enhance our ability to operate seamlessly as a global company,” says Nassetta.
