Orbitz drops fees

Orbitz.com has eliminated all change and cancellation fees on hotel bookings, previously $25 per transaction. The online travel retailer will continue to impose the nonrefundable rates and fees imposed by hotels.

Competitors Expedia Inc. and Priceline.com announced they would no longer charge the fees for hotel reservations earlier this year. All major online travel agencies now sell airline tickets without charging a fee and several have reduced the booking fees they charge on hotel reservations.
