Airfares charges
Have you ever wished airlines would detail all those extra little charges that add to the cost of a ticket? Senator Robert Mendez (D-NJ) has proposed a bill that would do just that. The Clear Airfares Act of 2009 would require airlines to give a complete breakdown of airfare and any potential extra fees before a passenger submits payment information. The proposal comes at time when airlines have instituted new holiday surcharges during their busiest travel season.
