Looking ahead to the 2010 Marketplace

Monday, Dec 7

2009 Connect Marketplace - Las Vegas, NevadaConference and Event Manager Dean Jones has the inside scoop on the 2010 Rejuvenate Marketplace, which will be held in Louisville, Ky., October 18-21. Here’s a look at the changes and improvements he foresees in the future for the reverse tradeshow.

“We’ll be doing away with the supplier tradeshow,” says Jones. “The real drawing card for the event is the appointments. We’ll continue to refine that process. The community service component will be expanded and there will be a greater customer service level.”

Attendance numbers for the 2009 Rejuvenate Marketplace grew to 290 meeting planners and more than 500 suppliers in Birmingham, Ala. Jones expects the growth to continue to include more services that meet the needs of attendees and additional planners and suppliers.

“As we continue to survey attendees and hold advisory council meetings, we will continue to refine educational content, adjusting timing and scheduling and continue to improve the networking environment,” he says. “Plus, we’ll continue to have a few surprises up our sleeve!”
