Special Places: Ghost Ranch

Discovering Santa Fe might best be termed an “awed at first sight” experience, as famed artist and photographer Georgia O’Keefe quickly realized when first visiting the area in the early 20th Century. Santa Fe’s Georgia O’Keefe Museum (okeeffemuseum.org), with event space for up to 150, provides an enlightening retrospective of her enormous body of work — her settings and subjects immediately familiar to the eye as seen in and around Northern New Mexico. Ghost Ranch, her rustic former home just outside of town, is available for small group events and retreats, as is its companion facility in Santa Fe itself. ghostranch.org
