The Atlanta CVB launched a civil rights site on Atlanta.net in December 2009 to showcase the city’s civil rights legacy. The Web site features an interactive timeline that spans 147 years of Atlanta’s African-American history. The site also highlights venues, museums, tours and cultural activities.

Seasite.com describes itself as the first cruise portal designed for the meetings industry. The Web site challenges meeting planners to book cruise meetings online and save 25 to 40 percent off the cost of a land-based meeting. Seasite.com also features a team of experienced Cruise Advisors to assist planners.

GotoLousiville.com generated more than $36 million in tourism spending for the Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau in 2009, according to a study conducted by Destination Analysts Inc. The study also found that the Web site prompted 48,738 trips and 49,891 additional days tourists vacationed in Louisville, Ky. The Lousiville CVB recently redesigned the Web site to include a trip builder, various social media outlets, an online hotel reservation tool, a request-for-proposals section, virtual city tours, photos and a calendar of events.

TheHopeCenterFoundation.org features a comprehensive list of ministries that have headquarters in the Hope Center, which opened in December 2009. Based in Plano, Texas, the Hope Center is a campus for the co-location of nearly 40 Christian ministries. The center promotes the synergy, financial stewardship and global expansion among evangelical Christian ministries. The Web site links the homepages of each ministry and features a new online fundraising tool.
