Web sites worth visiting

The Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau redesigned its official Web site to allow visitors to post ratings and reviews, create customized Google maps and itineraries, and integrate trip planning into their social-media lifestyles. In addition to the trip planning functions, the site also features a page for meeting planners and business listings for hotels, resorts and restaurants that allow users to post ratings and reviews.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort in Mexico’s Riviera Maya has a 60-second online video that provides a glimpse into the Barcelo Maya Beach Resort, a five-in-one, all-inclusive resort situated along the Caribbean Sea.

The Santa Monica Convention and Visitors Bureau launched its I love Santa Monica blog on Valentine’s Day. The online forum is geared toward boosting tourism by showing the local passion for the city. “For those that live or work in Santa Monica and feel pride in being a part of this progressive community, we hope they will feel encouraged to represent their city with great experiences and help us build our stories,” says Alison Best, vice president of sales and services at the CVB.
