Branson Airport anniversary

Branson Airport (BKG) is offering introductory fares for nonstop service to and from Branson, Mo., for as low as $49 in celebration of its one-year anniversary. A new charter service, Branson AirExpress, is offering flights to Austin, Houston, Shreveport, Des Moines and Terre Haute beginning May 17, 2010. Nonstop service will be available five days a week between Branson and Austin, Houston and Des Moines. There will be flights three times a week between Branson, Shreveport and Terre Haute. Branson Airport opened its doors in May of 2009 as the first privately developed and operated commercial service airport in the U.S. Last month, Frontier Airlines announced new flights between Denver and Branson in April.
