Danielle Weinstein

Director, Development Affinities Programs, The Jewish Federations of North America
New York, New York
Age: 32

It’s a good thing Dani Weinstein likes a fast pace. Her position, which was created less than two years ago, has her bouncing between launching an event for young Jews (TribeFest took place March 6-8 in Las Vegas) and working with the national and international programs for various affinities in the JFNA office, regional fundraising campaigns and the Lion of Judah women’s conference. “It definitely keeps me on my toes,” she says. “It’s very rare that I’m working on one project at a time. I don’t enjoy downtime—between projects and events is the worst time for me.” A social worker by training, Weinstein spent several years in Chicago, before landing with the JFNA there and returning to New York where she had previously received her masters in social work from Columbia University. She still fuels her passion for social work by knowing her support of regional chapters and organizations working in the community is making a difference in people’s lives. —J. Garrett

Where do  you see yourself in 10 years?

“Hopefully, still working for a cause that I feel passionate about—there is nothing better than knowing that what you do every day can make a difference in just one person’s life.”
