Now Open: Hyatt L.A. Ballroom Renovation
The Los Angeles Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel Los Angeles underwent a $1.3 million renovation. One of the largest ballrooms in the city, the 25,000-sq.-ft. space and other meeting areas throughout the California level, including the 23,000-sq.-ft. California Showroom exhibition space, feature new carpet, wall coverings and paint in a color palette of orange and mango with blue, gray and white accents. Inspired by the works of Ernst Haeckle, a 19th-century zoology professor known for his illustrations of organic forms, Design 360 Unlimited wanted the color scheme to enliven and energize the space. All of the hotel’s original chandeliers were also replaced to give better lighting and visibility. The 726-room hotel has more than 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor flexible function space on three floors.
