Austin CVB redesigns website
The Austin (Texas) Convention and Visitors Bureau is extending the theme of its new ad campaign—“What You Hear is True”—on its website. The redesigned website, austintexas.org, features quotes and tweets from visitors and locals about Austin that are used in the ad campaign. The website provides visitors with interactive travel information about the city, such as the food scene, museums and attractions, local tips and a guide to live music. “This state-of-the-art website remains user friendly and provides the most relevant information to visitors,” says Bob Lander, president and CEO of the Austin CVB. “Our comprehensive redesign allows visitors to connect with the local community and experience Austin in an organic and authentic way.” The website also showcases the city as a meeting destination in the Meet section. Planners can find a meeting planner guide, toolkit, maps and more on the site. A social media lounge also makes it easy for visitors to connect with the city through its Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr accounts.
