Sain tribute raises $250,000
More than 225 travel industry professionals gathered at a tribute event on June 26 to remember the life and legacy of Gary Sain. Sain spent more than three decades in various positions in the travel industry and was serving as president and CEO of Visit Orlando when he passed away in May. An estimated $250,000 was raised in Sain’s honor at the tribute event; the money will go to the Gary C. Sain Memorial Endowed Scholarship for the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management. The tribute website will remain open for additional contributions until July 31.
