Resume: By 27, Krista Orsack, CMP, had already interned at a CVB, worked there in a sales role, gained marketing experience at both an ad agency and South Dakota’s largest tourist attraction, and headed a convention center’s sales and marketing team of four. In 2011, she landed in the job she’d always had her sights set on: director of sales and marketing at the Sioux Falls CVB.
Career Highlight: Amassing so much tourism experience in such a short amount of time, achieving my CMP designation, and then coming back to the position I had always hoped to gain with the knowledge needed to market the city.

Worst Industry Buzzword: One-size-fits-all. What does that really mean? We’re all so different. Every event, too.
