Guest blogging and speaking at industry events on social media trends as well as marketing implementations for collegiate conference venues, this MBA grad has worked her magic at Brenau University, Lake Lanier CVB and The Arts Council. Now, as marketing manager for Georgia Tech’s Department of Housing, she oversees its cable network and collaborates with their nine divisions, focusing on branding and creating an interactive client experience. Volpe markets the school’s conference services to SMERF groups, attracting on-campus events and religious camps, especially during the summer.

Professional Pet Peeve: When people take more than 24 hours to respond to an email. In the world we live in, we are always connected and should respond as quickly as possible. You never know the opportunities that are missed or delayed when emails go unanswered.
First Job: After taking her younger siblings there, Volpe sought out a job at Interactive Neighborhood for Kids—a children’s museum in Gainesville, Ga. As event planner she hosted on-site birthday parties, outreach activities and fundraisers for the community.
