Four Points by Sheraton LAX caters to guests that travel day and night by allowing them to check in at any time and stay for 24 hours. The option is open to travelers who book a room on the Four Points website and pay $99 or more. “Since we serve guests at one of the world’s busiest airports, we thought we could make their travel easier by offering an alternative to traditional check-in/check-out timetables,” said Phil Baxter, general manager of the hotel, in a press release. The hotel is adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport and has 573 guest rooms, including 20 junior suites.

Sheraton introduces new hotel in New Jersey showcasing riverfront location

Sheraton Hotels and Resorts continues rolling out completely refreshed hotels in an ongoing $6 billion global enhancement of its brand. The Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel in Weehawken, N.J., is one of the first New York/New Jersey area hotels to complete the refurbishment. The $18 million revitalization of the contemporary riverfront property includes the introduction of the Link@Sheraton, the brand’s new lobby-based connectivity hub; a new restaurant overlooking the Hudson River; and 347 eco-friendly, tech-savvy guest rooms with keyless entry, “green” wallpaper and CFL-lit workspaces. A new lobby entrance showcases the hotel’s riverfront location and underscores its nautical theme, while a collection of antique nautical maps of the Hudson River celebrates the area’s maritime heritage. The hotel features 9,800 square feet of renovated meeting space, including several rooms with views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline, ample natural light and the full range of audiovisual equipment. It can accommodate groups of 10 to 150 in a variety of configurations.

Nashville hotel begins renovation

The Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel began the final phase of its multimillion-dollar renovation this spring. As part of the new look (and Sheraton’s emphasis on going local), all artwork throughout the hotel carries a Nashville theme, featuring black and white photos of legendary performers at the Grand Ole Opry and interesting angles of guitars. “We’re excited to be at the final stage of these renovations,” says Ed Mroz, general manager of the Sheraton Nashville Downtown. “We’ll be able to give our guests an even more memorable experience, and with the ballroom makeover, we’ll continue to offer a highly sought after space for local events.” You can view the transformation as it happens by visiting gsandf.com/sheraton.
