After much debate on what to wear, I dressed up as Kiss’ Gene Simmons—complete with full black-and-white makeup, an electric guitar and a sign reading “I’d rock ’n’ roll all night, but I have to work in the morning”—and eagerly claimed the prize for best costume.

After a few months of playing with my new gadget, I learned there are a few pros for event planners thinking of dropping the $350-$400 on an Apple Watch, which connects to your phone via Bluetooth (don’t worry, your data usage will remain the same).
