Vice President of Multicultural Business Development, Greater Fort Lauderdale CVB
Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Albert Tucker serves as vice president of multicultural business development for the Greater Fort Lauderdale CVB. In his role, Tucker is responsible for developing partnerships and alliances with community civic and business leaders, locally and nationally, to expose ethnically diverse individuals and groups to Greater Fort Lauderdale, making it a top choice for individuals of color.
Over the past five years at GFLCVB, Tucker has helped increase multicultural tourism by more than 60 percent. During his tenure, he has welcomed prestigious organizations to the destination including the Alpha Kappa PSI Fraternity Province, the Airport Minority Advisory Council, the National Urban League, the American Tennis Association and the National Association of Black Accountants, to name a few. Tucker also serves on the executive board of the Urban League and the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale.
“Mr. Tucker has always been an inspiration to me because no matter how much he has on his plate, he always finds time to support the youth in the program,” says Dennis Wright, president of the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale.
Growing up, I was sure I would be… a professional baseball player.
