2016 Industry Leader | Heather Cooper Kim, CMP, CTA

By Connect Staff, September 27, 2016

Heather Cooper Kim, CMP, CTA
Sales Manager, Greater Lansing Michigan CVB
Lansing, Mich.

At the age of 12, Kim, along with a friend and gymnastics teammate, started a gymnastics club in her backyard, campaigning to neighborhood parents and selling them on their business: the must-have skills and fun of gymnastics. The moral? Passion for what you’re selling results in a natural, personable sale.

Career accomplishments:
Kim has been in the hospitality business since 1999. Since starting at GLCVB in 2007, she has been on a sales team that has grown its leads, definite sales and strategic partnerships, topping each prior year’s sales numbers. During her tenure at GLCVB, she has become both a CMP and CTA.

Growing up, I was sure I would be… an Olympic gymnast.
