Events like the Easter Eggstravaganza prove that the legacy of Truett Cathy lives on.
This free event is happening April 8 at The Rock Ranch, a 1,500-acre working cattle ranch the late Chick-fil-A founder created in The Rock, Georgia (about an hour south of Atlanta).
The 15th annual Easter Eggstravaganza will include an egg hunt with 45,000 prize-filled eggs and a photo op with the Easter bunny. True to the Cathy family’s vocal approach to their faith, the schedule of events includes a presentation of the Easter message by a local youth pastor. Concessions and tickets for attractions such as the zipline and carousel will be available for purchase, and the Ranch’s farmers market will be open, selling locally raised produce and meat.
More than 3,000 people attended the 2016 Easter Eggstravaganza. In addition to its own events, The Rock Ranch has served as a concert venue for Christian artists like Kristian Stanfill, TobyMac and Laura Story, as well church events and revivals.
Cathy once said, “I’d like to be remembered as the one who kept my priorities in order.” It’s safe to say he met this goal.
