Mobile Bay Hosts First U.S. World Leisure Congress

The World Leisure Congress will be held in the United States for the first time ever this September. Mobile, Alabama, was selected to host the biannual gathering of destination marketing organizations, hospitality groups and industry innovators.

Attendees from more than 40 countries will hear speakers from organizations such as the U.S. Travel Association, UNICEF and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. There will also be a speech from former United States Surgeon General (and Mobile native) Regina Benjamin. The six-day event will take place at the Arthur R. Outlaw Convention Center and University of South Alabama.

Each year, Connect Faith honors professionals who are true memory makers in the events industry. Nominations for this year's class are due Aug. 3.
