Although it’s less than an hour from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Banning Mills truly feels away from it all. Set amid the scenery of north Georgia’s Snake Creek Gorge, the retreat combines relaxing, country-inspired accommodations with plenty of outdoor adventure. Banning Mills offers more than nine miles of zip lines and sky bridges, with six levels of eco-treks to choose from. Groups can pick from outdoor activities such as ropes courses, GPS challenges, kayaking, horseback riding, hiking, a 100-ft. power-controlled free fall and a 14-story climbing wall.

When the adventure is over, get down to business in one of Banning Mills’ six meeting venues. Meeting rooms can hold anywhere from six to 200 people, and free Wi-Fi is available. The main lodge has four meeting rooms with more than 6,200 square feet of meeting space. If your group can’t get enough of the great outdoors, meet in the 6,000-sq.-ft. covered pavilion and outside amphitheater. Staff can customize a package to meet your group’s individual requirements. There are 48 guest rooms, three pools, tennis and basketball courts, a softball field, two miniature golf courses and a catch-and-release fishing lake.
