The View From Perdido Beach Resort

New Additions

While it remains the only full-service hotel in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach, Perdido Beach Resort isn’t resting on its laurels. The eighth floor was transformed earlier this year into the Club Level, where planners can place VIPs. The 17 rooms on the revamped floor have the best views in the hotel. All guests have access to a lounge with free continental breakfast in the mornings and bar service at night.

On the beach level, a former nightclub known as Night Reef is being transformed into a high-tech conference room. The 36,000-sq.-ft. space will include a glassed-in conference room and a separate entrance. It is expected to be fully completed by late June.

The changes are in line with the destination’s effort to improve the overall experience for visitors. The first phase of a three-pronged project to turn the Gulf Shores beachfront into a pedestrian-friendly attraction, complete with a boardwalk, is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Despite all the upgrades, Perdido maintains its popularity among groups with some of its established amenities. Two outdoor meeting spaces are adjacent to the pool, and the hotel often holds meals and activities on the beach. Team excursions include a variety of water sports and overhead tours of the region with Orange Beach Helicopters.

It’s little wonder staff at Perdido Beach Resort like the view from where they are selling.
