When asked to name one thing he didn’t see coming, meetings technology expert Jim Spellos says the rapid rise in social media popularity and usage took him a bit by surprise. “All of a sudden, it became a part of how we communicate our meetings, our events, our information,” he says. In this episode of the Insider Series, Spellos shares some tips for meeting planners who have budgetary restraints when it comes to technology. “There are free container apps that you could use as a starting point, and even opportunities within your trade show or community to have advertising and marketing to be able to offset the costs.”
